Tapping the button will take you to a cleaned-up view compiling only the answers to that particular message.

After the update, users will see a new button next to a message that received multiple replies. So, in order to fix that, Signal’s latest update comes with an optional threaded conversation view.

Though, similar to WhatsApp and Telegram, you can reply to individual messages on Signal, it might get frustrating as the messages and replies start piling up and the conversation becomes tough to follow. All that matters is you have the relevant app on your new phone, and can save it to the same Signal folder on your new device (the Files app lets you create new folders if you tap the three dots up in the top right-hand corner).Privacy-centric cloud-based messaging app Signal has introduced the thread view on Android which will let you see all the replies to a message in one place.

Once you've found the Signal backup, long press on the file and hit the Share button, you can send it to whatever app you want-you could even email it to yourself if you want to. If you don't already have the Files app on your phone, you can download it from the Google Play Store. How you go about this is up to you-there are plenty of apps and methods, depending on your make of phone and the version of Android you're using-but you could, for example, use the Files app on stock Android to share the backup to Google Drive, then download it and put it back in the same folder on your new device. You then need to manually move your most recent backup over to your new phone: It'll be in the "/Internal Storage/Signal/Backups" or "/sdcard/Signal/Backups" folder. On your old device, it's enabled through the Chats and media and Chat backups options on the Signal settings screen-again, make sure you note down the passphrase that's displayed on screen, because you're going to need it to get your chats back on a new device. On Android, you need to make use of the backup feature we've already mentioned above.
